Change PDF page size

Choose a target size. The visible content is scaled uniformly and centred on the new page. A new PDF is created, and your original stays unchanged.

One PDF up to 50 MiB and 250 pages. The file stays in your browser's memory, with no upload and no account.

Leave blank for all pages, or enter ranges such as 1-3, 7. Numbering starts at 1. Page order and count stay the same.

How it works

Choose a preset or a custom size in millimetres. If needed, swap width and height to change the orientation. Decide whether to change all pages or only specific ranges. Content is scaled uniformly and centred, and unused margins stay white. Compare the original and the result page by page, then download the new PDF yourself.

Limits

A PDF can be up to 50 MiB and 250 pages. The result can be at most 100 MiB. Custom sizes can range from 25 to 2000 mm per side. Cancelling takes effect between pages.

What is preserved

Unselected pages keep their dimensions and rotation. Nothing is cropped beyond the area that is already visible. Metadata, bookmarks, tags, accessibility, and PDF/A or PDF/UA conformance are not guaranteed. This tool is neither compression nor redaction.

Frequently asked questions

Does changing to A4 reduce the file size?

No. It changes the stored page dimensions, not the compression. The file size may differ, but to reduce bytes you need a compression tool.

What is the difference between Fit and Shrink only?

Fit enlarges or shrinks content to suit the target size. Shrink only never enlarges, so smaller pages are just centred.

What happens to mixed or rotated pages?

Each selected page is measured individually, including its visible area, rotation and offset. Its rotation is then set to 0, but the page still appears the same way round.

Which files are refused?

The tool refuses signed, encrypted and password-protected files, PDFs with forms, attachments or optional layers, and selected pages with annotations or links.

Are the original, text and quality preserved?

Your original is not changed. Content is not converted into images, and text remained searchable in our tests.
